I'm reviving Simplifo.

Let me explain.

Nope, this isn't on a whim. Welcome to Heartstrings.

For the uninitiated, Simplifo was a half-baked idea I cooked up years ago, something about simple life observations. It started out as something totally unrelated to my plans for it today.

I wrote about it somewhere but I recently changed my everyday machine, so it's somewhere deep in the archives of my sweet old granny of a laptop. I'm sure I'll share it with you one day, it was quite a pretty piece, if I say so myself.

On my walk home today, I had an epiphany of epiphanies.

After years of mulling over it, I finally saw how I could make Simplifo a project I'll be excited about.

So I did what all writers do. I raced home to my laptop and wrote nonstop for almost an hour, hammering down everything that flashed into my mind. The event that triggered the thought, the cascade of subsequent encounters, the peripheral happenings that all merged into a wild flurry of excitement in my brain.

I haven't cemented the plan. It just happened literally hours ago. But here's a top level overview of Simplifo:

And I'm telling you all these because you're here, and precisely because you're reading this. (I hinted on Instagram, but won't go into detail there until some things are firmed up.)

I'm telling you because you're my OG supporter, and I value that more than you'll ever know. So...

Now that I've stopped forcing myself into a long and arduous bio-related career, I'm starting to relearn my love for science as a whole. Naturally I gravitated towards astronomy. (Edit: No pun intended)

Fun story: Physics used to be my best subject, but little 10 year-old me never understood what the skies and start had to do with physics. Oh, I forgot to mention, my first serious ambition was to be an astronomer.
